Custom made web design

2. Developing your website or restyling it

There are 2 kinds of websites: the static website and the dynamic website.
The difference between the 2 lies mostly in your site's function.

Static website
The static site is the most common website. This kind of site is build page by page usually using, html, shtml, javascript or some other static technologies. Static websites do not interact with a database.

These are ideal for small websites that don't need to update their content on regular bases. Take a look at our miniWebsites for a great deal!

You need a basic knowledge of html to update these sites. We can do this for you at a previously agreed price. But most importantly a static website is low in cost and can be developed at a faster past then any dynamic site.

Dynamic website
Dynamic websites usually interact with a database. This kind of website is better suited for companies with many different product or services, for e-commerce or picture based site. They can also be handy for site that need frequent updates.

We'll create an interface which allows you to update your site without any knowledge of html at any given time. You no longer need a webmaster to update your content. Most websites are a little of both.

Restyling websites
There are many reasons to restyle a website. The most important one is to be found by google (or any other search engine). You can read all about website optimization here. We strongly believe good graphic design says a lot about your company. An outdated design might not make the right impression.

On the other hand world standards have developed describing how website "should" be built. Older sites are sometimes slow, very complex, and less accessible for search engines.

the cOhesie has been applying these standards and evolving with them from day one. We can update yourwebsites technology with or without a new look, bringing your website into the future but mostely making sure you can be found on the web.

You own a nice restaurant, a beautiful shop or a cozy pub and you want people on the internet to know about you?
ou really don't need a big database driven complicated website. What you do need is our custom made mini website at an amazing price!.

The 3-click rule for a functional website

Phishingmail
When we say 3-click rule we actually mean to have to click as little as possible in order to find the information you need. In the real world this means every click should count for something interesting and should occur naturally. Navigation should be intuitive. Or as Steve Krug´s puts it in his book "Don´t make me think". The second rule of usability goes:

"It doesn´t matter how many times I have to click, as long as each click is a mindless, unambiguous choice."

Phishingmail

Watch out for: Phishingmail

A phishing mail looks like a professional mail, with real logos of well known banks and companies. It is an attempt to gain personal information from you, such as a password or credit card details. The content of the email is pure fantasy!

What should you do with this e-mail? Don't react, and contact your IT responsible as soon as possible!

Cascading StyleSheet - CSS

A stylesheet alows you to separate document content from document presentation. This separation can improve content accessibility, provide more flexibility and control for the whole website. But more importantly it allows you to update and transform your whole website by simply changing the code on one single document.

The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) has therefor established standards. The cOhesie respects these standards.
